Leadership Courses
England Hockey offer the Leadership course for young people aged 13 and upwards.
The award contains 4 sections:
Principles of Leadership
Foundation Umpire Award
Foundation Coach Award
Foundation Manager Award
The Leadership award offers an introduction to the 4 key areas of hockey. It can also be used as credits toward the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Volunteering
Have you ever wondered why you dont have people your own age umpiring or officiating at your games?
There are opportunities out there for you to get involved in th earea of volunteering, who knows, you could go to an Olympics as an umpire or official.
Yazoo are sponsors of the National Hockey Youth Festival, which runs annually. The Youth Festival is run completely by young people, for young people.

Looking after yourselves and each other
If you are being bullied or abused, it is not your fault. If you think this may be happening to you, you can talk to our Welfare Officer, who can be contacted by clicking here. You can also talk to parents or coaches at your club.

Remember, dont ignore whats happening, always tell someone you trust. Dont give up until someone helps you and you feel safe.
